Florenc station — overview
Florenc opened on 9 May 1974; its second platform followed on 2 November 1985. It is stop 15 of 24 on Line B, between Náměstí Republiky and Křižíkova. It is one of the three interchange stations of the Prague metro, where lines B and C meet. Between 1971 and 1990 it was called Sokolovská. The timetable puts Můstek 3 minutes away and Muzeum 3 minutes away. On a weekday the PID timetable has 1265 trains calling here in both directions, the first leaving at 04:51 and the last at 00:04.

Strollers and folded folding bikes (carried as luggage) are allowed. Under PID rules a non-motorised bicycle travels free on the metro on any platform of the train except the first one behind the driver’s cab, with at most two bikes per platform. PID sets no fixed banned hours, but bikes can be refused when the train is crowded.
