Line at a glance
Line B serves 24 stations between Zličín and Černý Most. Line B (yellow) is the longest line on the Prague Metro. It runs across the whole city from Zličín in the west through Smíchov, Anděl and the centre — Národní třída, Můstek, Náměstí Republiky and Florenc — out to the housing estate at Černý Most in the east. Transfer to Line A is at Můstek, to Line C at Florenc. The yellow line serves the Anděl shopping district, the exhibition grounds and large residential areas at both ends, and is one of the busiest routes in the city.
Line B suffered the worst damage during the catastrophic floods of August 2002, when the Vltava river flooded the central stations of Florenc, Křižíkova, Invalidovna and Palmovka. Repairs and a full reopening took several months. At 25.6 km, Line B is the longest of Prague’s three metro lines.
