Evening and night service
The metro does not run at night
The Prague metro does not run overnight. The last trains leave the terminal stations around midnight; after that, night transport is provided by trams and buses.
After midnight, night trams (lines 91–99) and night buses (900+) run, meeting at the Lazarská interchange hub. Check dpp.cz for the current night timetables.
Special situations
Temporary restrictions
During maintenance or construction work, service on part of a line may be replaced by buses some evenings, with stations temporarily closed. Check the status on dpp.cz before you travel.
Extra service
During major events and matches, service on the affected lines is often increased; stations can get crowded once the event ends.
Connecting buses
Václav Havel Airport is not directly on the metro — reach it via Nádraží Veleslavín (line A) and bus 119, or Zličín (line B) and bus 100. Plan your flight around the last connections.
Trams and buses
The metro does not run at night; after midnight, night trams (91–99) and buses (900+) run on their own timetables.
