Welcome to the Prague metro

metropraha.com is an independent guide to the Prague metro. The network has 3 metro lines and 58 stations; at three interchange hubs — Muzeum, Můstek and Florenc — the lines cross and connect the whole city from south to north and from west to east.

The metro is run by the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) as part of Prague Integrated Transport (PID); you pay with a single Lítačka card or a PID ticket. Here you will find a dedicated page for every line and station, a PDF map, up-to-date timetables, a fare overview and a handy route planner.

Frequently asked questions

The network has 3 lines (A green, B yellow, C red) and 58 stations. The lines cross at three interchange hubs — Muzeum (A+C), Můstek (A+B) and Florenc (B+C) — and at many stations connect with PID trams and buses.

A basic 30-minute ticket costs 39 Kč, a 90-minute transfer ticket 50 Kč (both let you transfer for free for the whole validity period). The discounted fare is 19 Kč, and a monthly pass 550 Kč. See fares and Lítačka.

The metro runs roughly from 04:45 to 00:00. It does not run overnight — after midnight you get around Prague on night trams (91–99) and buses (900+). Exact times are on the timetables page.

Václav Havel Airport is not directly on the metro network. The fastest way is line A to Nádraží Veleslavín and then bus 119, or line B to Zličín and bus 100. You can plan the connection in the route planner.

You can check your balance and valid passes in the PID Lítačka app, on the litacka.cz website, or at ticket machines and DPP service points. See the Lítačka page for details.

The Prague metro has three interchange stations: Muzeum (A+C), Můstek (A+B) and Florenc (B+C). The transfer always happens inside the station without leaving the paid zone; most stations also connect with trams and buses.
